About the Role

Our robotics team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Mapping & Localization Platform team. We're searching for an engineer to build reliable, scalable and highly performant platforms that work with real data in uncertain environments.

About the Work

• Collaborate with other teams to design and build scalable infrastructure to support mapping, localization and calibration systems.
• Collaborate with other teams to manage dataflow for machine learning.
• Develop well-documented and scalable processes, systems and tools to improve operation simplicity and reliability.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues with software programming code that arise during field testing and provide ongoing Quality Assurance testing, software performance tuning and optimization.

About You

• Experience developing scalable and/or automation solutions
• Experience with coding, troubleshooting and debugging
• Proficiency with Python and/or C++
• B.S. (with min 5 years of industry experience) or M.S. (with min 3 years of industry experience) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related field

Bonus Points

• Experience with public cloud solutions, such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with ML modeling and infrastructure

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $167,200 and $250,800/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
