Director, Trust & Data Panel Integrity
Nielsen, the leading company in advertising measurement and outcomes, is searching for an exceptional candidate to support assigned business units as a Director of Trust & Data Protection.  As Nielsen constantly innovates to maintain its leadership in an ever-evolving marketplace, the Director, Trust & Panel Data Integrity will ensure that Nielsen's core datasets and panelist lifecycle are protected with regards to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
This Director role facilitates the security and integrity of our sensitive data which is essential to maintain the trust and loyalty of our customers and our panelists while providing oversight of detecting and preventing fraudulent activity.   This will require collaborative relationships across the global organization.   
A strong candidate for this role will need to maintain an understanding of evolving business needs, enhance our acumen of fraud detection and prevention techniques and build a culture of security in data science, engineering, and operations.

Responsibilities:

•  The Director, Trust & Panel Data Integrity will maintain principal responsibility for the strategy, identification, management, and execution of panel integrity and fraud detection and prevention protocols across the various lines of business. In joint collaboration with Product Leadership, DevOps, Engineering, and Data Science teams, the Director is accountable for data security for Nielsen’s most important data including:
• This position will take on a leadership role driving innovation and continued enhancement of Nielsen’s panel fraud investigative controls and processes, ensuring panel data integrity globally across all markets and mediums.
• Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, design and lead. enterprise assessments and proactively provide input to process changes
• Work in new and evolving areas of fraud including digital assets and cybercrime.
• Leverage existing technologies and evaluate new technologies for effective fraud detection and prevention based on fraud trending.
• Oversee experienced investigators, ensuring that the team is supported in their efforts to conduct robust, timely and fair investigations into concerns and allegations of panel fraud.
• Lead case reviews with the team and validate data to ensure the integrity and consistency of the investigative process.
• From time to time, and as needed to support the team, conducting complex and/or high stakes investigations and partner with third party specialists where necessary.
• Enhance panelist recruitment, selection and training processes to ensure data collection processes are secure and align to company policy. 
• Generate reporting and metrics to gauge and monitor individual and overall performance of the teams in fraud prevention.
• Stay current on global regulations, expectations and industry trends related to data integrity and protection


• To effect and maintain a culture of security within Nielsen’s engineering, technology, software development, business and operations teams, the Director, Trust & Panel Data Integrity must:
• Maintain an open, collaborative, and consultative culture supported by outreach and education.
• Serve as the “Trust Officer” for not only internal organizations, but for clients and partners as it pertains to Nielsen’s cybersecurity practices.
•  Share knowledge and actively bridge relationships into other verticals in the Cybersecurity organization

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience leading complex fraud investigations.
• Advanced knowledge of fraud investigation and loss prevention.
• Solid understanding of Data Analytics and/or statistics. Experience using Technology & Cybersecurity principles to contribute to the detection and prevention of fraud.
