Description

CGT is an exceptional employer, and we’re looking for someone with a positive, approachable personality who genuinely cares about supporting and advocating for our employees.The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for employees across the organization, providing guidance on benefits, compensation, employee policies, and other HR-related matters. This role also plays an important part in fostering employee engagement and morale, supporting the implementation of HR programs, and assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of outstanding talent.
Key Responsibilities
You Will:- Supports full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, interview coordination, candidate prescreening, background checks, reference verification, and onboarding.
- Implements and administers human resources programs and services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and retention, DOL and EEO compliance, and labor relations; completes personnel transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintains electronic and paper files required to ensure compliance with regulatory and recordkeeping requirements.
- Maintains HRIS data integrity and ensures accurate electronic employee records.
- Administers day-to-day benefits programs, including enrollments, responding to routine employee inquiries, COBRA administration, and monthly benefits reconciliation.
- Supports HR initiatives by collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, and recommending effective courses of action.
- Manages and coordinates the Summer Intern Program.
- Serves as a key member of the FISH! Committee and acts as a positive ambassador for CGT within the community.
- Makes sound business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Assists in planning, evaluating, and improving business processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall effectiveness.
- Enhances the reputation of the department and organization by taking ownership of new and evolving responsibilities and proactively identifying opportunities to add value.
- Safeguards confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What You Offer Us:Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Certification in HR and/or Payroll is preferred.
- 3-5 years work experience in a Generalist Role, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Usually work in an open office, plant, and/or lab environment, but the mission of the organization may sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces.
- Standard work week, but additionally will often work evening, weekends, and overtime hours to accommodate activities.
