Position Overview:

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a high-performing organizational culture. You will be responsible for strategically enhancing HR functions, ensuring they align with our business goals and foster employee engagement. This position requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex employee relations issues, performance management, and professional development initiatives. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to promote best practices in human resources, drive HR initiatives, and contribute to the organization's overall success. By leveraging your expertise and knowledge, you will help create a workplace environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and innovation. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Coaches, counsels, and guides assigned leaders regarding performance management, corrective action, and other matters of organizational risk to drive performance and adherence to company policy.
  • Responsible for employee relations, training and coaching, HR policy interpretation and implementation, and overall integrity of employee information and documentation in your assigned support areas.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business leaders to proactively service the work area’s needs.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, methodologies, and guidelines to support the business.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. 
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Assists with recruitment efforts as needed to support open positions and meet business needs, working with the hiring manager to ensure a smooth and consistent process.
  • As needed, supports leader’s decision-making regarding new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Provide guidance and input on business restructures, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for work units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Acts as liaison between hourly employees and management, representing both fairly and professionally.
  • Manages numerous reporting activities related to business metrics in a timely and professional manner.
  • Integral leader who acts as a change agent to encourage/promote a positive company culture in a highly dynamic environment.
  • May support ancillary HR functions as needed to support business leaders based on area of expertise, training, and business need (training, payroll, recruitment, benefits, etc.)
  • Partner with HR colleagues to develop and implement specific programs directly aligned to business strategy, compensation, employee relations, performance management, recognition, and training and development.
  • May participate in acquisition teams during due diligence and integration phases.
  • Proactively build and promote strong employee trust and open communication at all levels.
  • Viewed as an “Employee Advocate” who voices employee concerns to leaders and ensures fair and equitable treatment for all.
  • Provide proactive guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda to support key business strategies and initiatives in client groups.
  • Willingness to adapt work hours to support our 24/7 plant operations, ensuring that HR coverage and support when necessary. Fostering a seamless connection between management and employees at all hours.
  • Participate in various advanced project assignments as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree but strongly prefer a bachelor’s degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive and relevant human resources generalist experience, including demonstrated experience in management coaching, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation practices
  • Thorough understanding of all employment laws and their practical application in the workplace, including, but not limited to, EEO, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.
