Job Description:
We are seeking a Manager, Pricing II – Servers to join our team in Spring, Texas, or San Jose, California.
Job Description:
Partners with the Compute businesses to ensure that the pricing strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to deliver a market competitive winning price. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives. Drive the measurement processes (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Ensures strong business controls.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for products and solutions from new product introduction thru end of life based on product value add, financial metrics and customer willingness to pay
- Create insights on competitive pricing strategies and positioning that allow us to drive a winning strategy in the marketplace
- Define and lead a regular governance cadence to review market indicators, results delivered and progress towards performance metrics
- Drive consistent pricing approval empowerment guidelines across the global business units and geographies that enable speed to a winning price, as well as enable attainment of appropriate financial targets
- Work well in environment with both direct and dotted-line employee reporting relationships, in multiple geographic locations.
- Ensures that the financial strategies and initiatives within area of accountability are integrated with corporate and business strategies.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree, or technical/ advanced university degree, or equivalent experience. An advanced degree (master’s or Ph.D.) is strongly preferred.
- Typically, 7+ years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve problems.
- End-to-end pricing and process knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation forms.
- Mastery in English, local language, and other languages as required.
- Ability to measure and manage team performance.
- Strong financial and business acumen; general industry knowledge.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including goal setting, conflict resolution, performance management, budget planning, problem-solving, evaluation, and employee engagement.
