Summer Internship: Retail and Consumer team
Eurasia Group is the world’s leading political risk advisory and consulting firm. Our mission is to assist investors, companies, foundations, and public-sector institutions anticipate the opportunities and manage the risks created by the impact of politics and policy on markets around the world.
EG’s Consumer team is seeking remote interns to support our work assessing the implications of geopolitics and government policy for our clients’ businesses. We conduct bespoke research and analysis for retail and consumer clients focusing on reputational risks, sustainability, clean supply chains, human rights, trade, and consumer sentiment.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching, writing, and presenting on geopolitical developments of interest to professional services, public sector, and philanthropic clients
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to deliver client-focused insights and conclusions
- Contributing to the design and execution of tailored projects addressing risks and opportunities to client firms and organizations
Qualifications:
- Must be a current student at an academic institution and enrolled in a fall 2025 program
- Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
- Research experience and/or capabilities in issues such as: human rights, sanctions and tariffs, reputational risks, consumer sentiment, or clean supply chains
- Educational background in international affairs, political science, economics, and/or business
- Ability to perform research and analysis using primary local sources
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset
- Some form of consulting background, and/or familiarity with consulting projects, is a plus
- Interest and experience in the visual presentation of data and statistics is a plus
- Full business proficiency in the English language; additional language skills are a plus
- Preferred: prior experience in the consumer sector, experience with management consulting
Timing:
40 hours per week-- June 3 - August 2 (you must be available for the entire time frame)
Location:
Washington DC office-- hybrid workplace (no remote options)
Compensation:
$18 an hour
