Company Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Strategic Procurement Specialist is responsible for driving cost optimization, enabling an effective management of categories, key suppliers and supporting the Procurement processes with respect to supply chain due diligence / ESG requirements for Red Bull Sweden.
In alignment with HQ Global Procurement and local stakeholders, the Strategic Procurement Specialist will concentrate on identifying, planning, and executing procurement strategies and initiatives for goods and services of Red Bull’s third-party suppliers. This includes working cross-functionally to define and align business needs as well as to help address sustainability and ESG requirements (e.g. in sourcing events, supplier management initiatives, etc.).
Job Description
PLANNING & STRATEGY
- Create and maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders and budget owners to proactively align and support the identification of possible cost optimization and/or other improvements, based on company spending and business plans.
- In alignment with the Global Procurement Policy, develop, implement and maintain local procurement policies, procedures and guidelines for goods and services, in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements.
- Drive and coordinate efforts to provide transparency on and insights into company spend.
- In alignment with the responsible team members, develop, establish, implement and maintain key supplier management initiatives, obligations and service level agreements to the organization.
- Analyze trends and market conditions for the present and future pricing, availability, lead-time and capacity of goods and services.
- Provide methods, criteria and support to identify and qualify potential new suppliers, including but not limited to sustainability and ESG practices.
- Communicate to relevant internal stakeholders the added value and results that Procurement brings to the organization (incl. monetary, non-monetary benefits and sustainability achievements).
SOURCE TO CONTRACT
- Develop and enhance procurement category management strategies to identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency across similar materials or services.
- Set-out sourcing strategies for and actively lead departments on large value and / or high-importance procurement initiatives or tenders.
- For a procurement initiative, define goals and negotiation tactics to achieve best value for Red Bull (incl. pricing, commercial terms, quality, risks, timing, expected performance, etc.).
- Lead or actively support supplier negotiations until contracts are finalized and approved.
BUSINESS PARTNERING
- Maintain regular communications with internal stakeholders, incl. department heads to support optimizing budget spend and align on procurement involvement, sustainability initiatives and collaboration.
- Provide recommendations on subsequent budget changes if requested.
- Ensure key supplier relationships are managed and performance is properly monitored by the respective business partner.
- Contribute to cross-regional initiatives to optimize group spend and knowledge.
- Incorporate sustainability and ESG-related needs of the organization in Procurement goals, plans and strategies.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Support business teams to set up targets and metrics for key suppliers.
- Establish regular management reporting on planned and running procurement initiatives and results.
- Set up structures and processes to execute KPI reporting for key suppliers, spend and supplier ESG initiatives.
CSR & SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives in procurement processes that align with global and local company goals while complying with relevant local CSR standards and regulations.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sustainability strategies and initiatives related to supplier base and sourcing events.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations related to procurement processes.
- Ensure sustainable sourcing practices and continuously align with HQ global sustainability and due diligence teams.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement role, ideally in the FMCG industry. Marketing experience would be meritorious.
- Experience in project and process management
- Experience of working within a sustainability framework and reporting
- Solid understanding of category management and state of the art “source-to-contract” procurement processes
