Job Title: Senior Project Consultant – Development 

Location: Newtown Square, PA 

Work Model: Hybrid work model 

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Consultant – Development at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and develop systems, applications, products, services and data to optimize/automate SAP’s business processes and improve work efficiency.  

Expectations and Tasks:  

Engage with business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver solutions to business requirements. Perform complex data and system development along with technology integration through learned technology coding languages. Ensure stable, secure, performance and high available operations for and between system and cloud services. Facilitate agile engagement with the business. Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Deliver outcomes of assigned projects; work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility. Enhance complex systems/processes. Represents SAP to customers. Communicates clear and conveys processes & policies in a way that others can understand. Advocating for the end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors & usage patterns. Provides expert support in operations. Revises and updates existing programs and provide required documentation. Facilitates the service lifecycle and product lifecycle. 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following: 

• Performing Process Management and Project Management; 

• Understanding of software development cycle, defining technical requirements, and collaborating with development teams; 

• Agile software delivery process and DevOps implementation; 

• Performing Data analysis, insight development, and data interpretation; and 

• Business & technical requirements gathering & prioritization. 

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:  

• Budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, and ROI evaluation; 

• Utilizing BI tools including SAC and PowerBI in productized reporting; 

• Database Management & Data Engineering including Data Modeling, ETL processes, and SQL proficiency; and 

• SAP Cloud Suite Portfolio (BTP and RISE/GROW with SAP).
