Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Facilities Planner. This position is located at Roy, Utah and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

What You’ll Get To Do:  

  • Assist the Facility Planning and Operations Manager and act as the primary delegate for all leadership activities.  

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the Facility Planning team (to include strategy development, coaching team members, resolving conflict, and optimizing team level performance). 

  • Leads the overall planning, integration, monitoring, reporting, execution, and closure of Site Operations Facilities Overhead and Capital-funded projects. 

  • Develops, monitors, and status’ the preparation of business plans, statements of work (SOWs), purchase orders (POs), memorandum of agreements (MOAs), interdivisional work orders (IWOs), operating budgets, capital projects, and Facilities overhead budgets. 

  • Perform peer reviews of Purchase Requests (PRs), SOWs, POs, MOAs, and IWOs 

  • Support the standup and/or closeout of facilities; provide customer service, occupancy, escorting, space planning, and other services as needed. 

  • Interfaces regularly with T&M contract Suppliers to maintain positive working relationships and communication between projects in work. • Maintains and updates internal collaboration SharePoint and Teams pages.

  • Provides Facility Operations inputs to SDS crisis management and business resiliency & resumption teams. 

  • Maintains and updates Facility Operations leadership teams’ crisis management binders.  

  • Supports Business Site Review, AS9100D, DCMA/DCAA, and other internal audits as needed. 

  • Proposes and implements corporate sustainability objectives. • Develops and tracks budgets, forecasts, estimates-to-complete and variance reporting. 

  • Works with construction projects, facilities drawings, and building/design layouts.  

  • Interfaces with SDS Division programs and functional organizations to facilitate a collaborative team environment across all levels.  

  • Create Facility Operations Principles & Operating Procedures (PrOPs), plans and procedures for the Roy Innovation Center campus. 

  • Develop and present briefings, presentations, and analysis for Division and Senior SDS Leadership.  

  • Other duties as assigned.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; OR 10 years of experience with a Masters degree; OR 8 years of experience with a PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and must be a US Citizen

  • Experience with Microsoft Office such as powerpoint, word, or excel

  • Leadership experience in either leading a team or having recently held a lead position.
