About the role

At NorthBay Health, the Manager, Marketing Strategy and Growth at NorthBay Health plays a key leadership role in advancing NorthBay Health’s strategic marketing objectives across its growing ambulatory footprint across region, including primary care, urgent care, and outpatient services. This individual is responsible for driving brand visibility, patient arrivals, and regional engagement through the development and execution of high-profile campaigns and materials. The Manager, Marketing Strategy and Growth will be responsible for:

  • Driving patient acquisition and ambulatory growth through integrated marketing campaigns that expand urgent care, primary care, and specialty service line volume.
  • Lead physician-facing marketing initiatives to strengthen referral relationships, enhance reputation, and support physician engagement and recruitment.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and sponsorships (including sports and community partnerships) to increase brand visibility, engagement, and trust across the region. These high-visibility relationships are strategically leveraged to enhance brand awareness, community engagement, and patient acquisition. 

This position collaborates cross-functionally with service line leaders, clinic administrators, project managers, community leaders and creative teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, data-informed decision-making, and hands-on campaign execution.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive brand visibility, patient acquisition, ambulatory growth, and service line expansion. Align campaigns with NorthBay Health’s mission, vision, and long-term growth priorities.

Campaign Management & Optimization
Plan, implement, and oversee major high-visibility campaigns, new facility launches, and reputation-building initiatives. Measure outcomes, analyze performance, and refine tactics across digital, social, experiential, and traditional channels to maximize ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong partnerships across internal teams, leadership, service lines, physician practices, Foundation, digital teams, and external vendors to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational growth and goals.

Sports & Community Partnerships
Lead the activation and marketing strategies for sports partnerships, community sponsorships, and local engagement opportunities, positioning NorthBay Health as a trusted partner across the region.

Service Line Marketing
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for specialty services and physician-facing campaigns, enhancing referral relationships, supporting recruitment, and promoting physician engagement.

Patient Acquisition & Access
Design and optimize strategies for patient engagement, access, and conversion. Develop messaging to improve understanding of insurance coverage, referrals, and scheduling pathways, while leveraging CRM tools and data insights to track results.

Content Development & Brand Stewardship
Curate, draft, review, and edit marketing content, advertising copy, and digital assets. Ensure brand voice, visuals, and messaging are applied consistently across all campaigns and initiatives.

Project & Budget Management
Oversee timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure campaigns and initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable results.

Team Leadership (if applicable)
Provide management, coaching, and collaboration support for marketing specialists, interns, contractors, vendors and cross-functional project teams. Ensure clarity of priorities, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • Four years progressively responsible management experience.
    • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably within healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations. Agency experience a plus.
    • Experience in brand management, service line marketing, new facility marketing, campaign execution, and supervisory roles strongly preferred. Sports experience a plus.
    • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and regulations is a plus.
  3. Skills: The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, data-informed decision-making, and hands-on campaign execution.
