Financial Analyst

Overview

 

Financial analysts play a key role in helping the team—and ATI—reach its goals. You will work with teammates to analyze and communicate company results and interface with department leaders to influence strategic decisions. You will not only add value to the business through your knowledge and technical abilities, but also through your unique perspective and creative mindset.  As a Financial Analyst, you are expected to perform all assigned tasks with accuracy and proactively make iterative improvements to processes and deliverables. This is a hybrid position working at ATI Physical Therapy's corporate office in Downers Grove, IL.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Partner with company leaders and support in strategic decision-making• Review monthly results with P&L owners and identify market-specific risks and opportunities• Own unique responsibilities in the quarterly forecast and annual budget process• Own specific components of the month-end reporting process• Create and own recurring reports for Ops and Corporate leadership• Design and conduct presentations to educate internal stakeholders on financial concepts• Collaborate with the team and cross-functionally for special projects and initiatives• Compile and analyze operational and financial data for various ad hoc analyses• Maintain accuracy and reconciliation of financial and operational data across ERP and reporting systems by performing data quality checks and validation using Excel, SQL, Python, or similar tools• Build and maintain dynamic reports and standardize models that support repeatable, automated workflows 

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field;
• Strong academic background and motivated for ongoing professional growth

 

Min Experience

Required:

• Required: 0-2 years of related work experience
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting

 

Preferred:

• Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)• Experience maintaining and reconciling financial and operational data across reporting systems utilizing Excel, SQL, Python, or similar tools

 

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced functions of Excel• Experience in budgeting and forecasting• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Ability to articulate financial concepts and business drivers to various levels of the organization • Solid understanding of the key financial statements• Highly motivated and willing to work in a dynamic environment• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills• Ability to have ownership over and manage progress of multiple projects at once• Analytical and intellectually curious• Ability to utilize Tableau, Oracle and SQL in day-to-day work and across projects
