About the role

<p>As part of an enterprise-wide program to transform contracts management, Edwards is developing a Contracts Center of Excellence (“CCoE”) in the Law Department.  The Sr. Manager, Contracts (EMEACLA) for the CCoE will have a unique opportunity to be a key leader within the Enterprise Contracts Lifecycle Integration of Processes and Systems at Edwards (ECLIPSE) program at Edwards primarily supporting the program and contracts in the Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada and Latin America region (“EMEACLA”).  The Sr. Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and global oversight of the CCoE, with particular focus on supporting the needs of the EMEACLA region.  </p><p></p><p>The Sr. Manager will also be expected to partner with senior leaders to ensure a sustainable single source of truth for contracts enterprise-wide that will be a mechanism for, among other things, risk mitigation, creation of efficiencies, regulatory compliance, supplier onboarding, source to pay (in alignment with other internal Edwards projects) and required public accounting and reporting.  In addition, the role will include responsibilities to support the CCoE Sr. Director with the development, deployment and management of policies, processes, and standards in the EMEACLA region as it relates to global enterprise contracting.  </p><p></p><p>The role will work closely with senior leaders in the ECLIPSE program and will be a key partner in the implementation of a new enterprise contracts lifecycle management (CLM) system at Edwards. Accordingly, the individual must be organized, strategic, optimize processes, drive results and be able to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals of various levels and focus areas.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Knowledge expert on all matters related to contracting at Edwards for the EMEACLA super-region, Align with contracts teams in the businesses and functions within the EMEACLA region at Edwards on contracts management standards and work with the CCoE Sr. Director to drive compliance with related policies and processes. Serve as the knowledge expert on enterprise contracts lifecycle management and ensure proficiency in understanding all categories of contracts;</p></li><li><p>Be a core and leading member of the project team of ECLIPSE to implement the new enterprise contracts lifecycle management system in the EMEACLA region;</p></li><li><p>Establish and nurture relationships at various levels throughout the EMEACLA region to build strong, up-to-date awareness of the ECLIPSE program and the program’s goals</p></li><li><p>Effectively work to resolve contract management issues and concerns that arise in the EMEACLA region;</p></li><li><p>Support the development of the strategy and operating model of the CCoE in partnership with key program team members. Effectively communicate and work closely with cross-functional team members in the EMEACLA region; and</p></li><li><p>Other incidental duties as may be required.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's or equivalent degree, required</p></li><li><p>Legal degree, preferred</p></li><li><p>German language (English-German) bilingual desired</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 3-5 years of previous related experience related to contracts management and operations</p></li><li><p>Experience working in a contracts lifecycle management system</p></li><li><p>Background in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other relevant healthcare industry is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p><ul><li><p>Well-developed written and communication skills with ability to interface with multiple levels of personnel in and out of the organization</p></li><li><p>Skills in problem solving, time management and delegation</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint</p></li><li><p>Excellent organizational, documentation and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of project objectives</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><u>What is it like to work at Edwards Lifesciences in the Czech Republic? </u><br/>As a global leader in patient-focused medical innovations, we offer rewarding opportunities and exciting challenges in a truly international, dynamic and friendly work environment.<br/>We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees can grow, personally and professionally.
