The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Integration Solutions Architect (Senior or Lead) to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Sapphire Program team in Hazelwood, MO; El Segundo, CA; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX or Seattle, WA.
This individual will have expertise in the Aerospace & Defense industry to design, develop, and implement complex integration solutions across our enterprise. This role is pivotal in modernizing our digital infrastructure, focusing on the seamless and secure integration of critical systems, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with on-prem and hybrid cloud architectures, modern tech stacks, and a proven ability to work within both classified and unclassified environments.
You will be responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure software architectures that meet stringent performance, reliability, and cybersecurity standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineers, and cybersecurity specialists, to translate complex operational requirements into actionable technical designs.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-wide integration solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and resilient
Define the technical strategy and roadmap for integrating disparate systems (ERP, PLM, MOM) across the organization
Oversee the integration of business-critical systems, primarily focusing on ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), PLM (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE), and MOM (e.g., Siemens Opscenter)
Ensure all integration solutions comply with strict security protocols and government regulations (e.g., NIST, CMMC)
Architect solutions that support both classified and unclassified network environments, including cross-domain data transfers
Architect and oversee the implementation of secure cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions, adhering to DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG) and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) (e.g., IL4, IL5, IL6)
Utilize expertise in hybrid cloud architectures (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government) to architect secure and scalable integration platforms
Leverage modern technologies such as Application Programming Interface (API) gateways, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and serverless computing
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders
Conduct technical reviews and mentor junior architects and developers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, Information Technology (IT), and cybersecurity, to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
Manage the full lifecycle of integration solutions, from initial design and proof-of-concept to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement
Leverage hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing complex applications in these environments
Understand cloud-native services (compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless, messaging, security, analytics)
Leverage proficiency in designing and deploying containerized applications, managing clusters, and implementing advanced orchestration patterns (Kubernetes, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Azure Kubernetes Service, (AKS), OpenShift, Docker, container registries (e.g., Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Azure Container Registry (ACR))
Design and implement highly decoupled, scalable microservices architectures
Lead API Gateway management, service mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd), and inter-service communication patterns
Manage Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates: define, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Automate deployments and infrastructure changes
Automate testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end)
Configure security scanning tools including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Static Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) integrated into CI/CD
Leverage relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) in cloud environments (RDS, Azure SQL Da
