The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior System Design and Integration Specialist to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Seattle, WA; Kent, WA; Ridley Park. PA; Miami, FL; or North Charleston, SC.
This role requires expert knowledge of UNIX, Advances Interactive Executive (AIX), and Hewlett Packard Unix (HPUX) operating systems. The Data and Integration Specialist will also have experience with IBM Power Series hardware architecture, infrastructure, configuration, and support. You will be working on superdome hardware and infrastructure configuration and support with other related services in the infrastructure of these hardware environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Configures and validates standard AIX and Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) Operating System (OS) releases for enterprise environments
Develops and implements processes for major OS version migrations
Fulfills “one-off” configuration requests (e.g., multiple JAVA versions for Boeing's applications)
Develops and maintains custom installation scripts to streamline OS deployments
Incorporates and tests Power High Availability (PowerHA) updates in lab environments
Downloads, installs, and validates PowerHA software packages for production readiness
Configures, tests, and deploys Hardware Management Consoles (HMC) OS releases for Power system management
Supports Power firmware and microcode lifecycles downloads, installs, and validates updates in lab
Downloads, installs, and tests IBM Storage Scale (GPFS) and related components
Configures and tests standard Dell/EMC Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) tools including Solutions Enabler, PowerPath, and Internet Protocol (IP) Storage kernel drivers for AIX
Develops and manages related installation scripts for seamless storage integration
Maintains and enhances automation scripts supporting applications
Provides 3rd-level technical consultation for power systems and frame migrations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with managing operating systems AIX and HPUX
Experience with scripting for the environment
Experience with architecting AIX environments
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Rapid7, etc.
Experience with storage and network infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience supporting infrastructure for business applications in these environments
Experience creating operating system images for infrastructure consumption
Experience with IBM Virtual Machine Recovery Manager (VMRM)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $120,700 - $174,800
