About The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at ThousandEyes, you will be responsible for our Cloud Agent and Enterprise Agent components.  Enterprise Agents are a software artifact we deliver to customers to run within their premise as a component of our SaaS and Cloud Agents are points of visibility we operate in more than 700 locations around the world to give an outside-in perspective for our customers. Your mission will be to strategically grow the footprint of the Cloud Agent fleet and the hardware platforms and devices we support running Enterprise Agents on while being mindful of our operating model. You will also become a subject matter expert to directly engage with our Sales team on strategic prospects and   our escalation engineering support team when needed. 

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with the Cloud Agent Operations and Enterprise Agent engineering teams to align roadmaps and quarterly plans with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Identify new geographical locations and use cases for Cloud Agents, as well as new device platforms and opportunities for Enterprise Agents 
  • Deep dive into the way we build, secure, deploy, and operate agents at scale both within our Cloud Agent locations and how our customer practitioners make use of the Enterprise Agent to become a subject matter expert on all things CEA.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on data driven insights to help build a long term strategy for the team. 
  • Generate and shepherd creative ideas, both large and small, that bring value to customers and the business.
  • Stay hands-on with customers to keep them happy today, while gaining insight for future ideas.
  • Thoughtfully prioritize to maximize the impact of organizational effort.

Qualifications 

  • Technical Acumen: You will work closely with engineering to understand technical tradeoffs and their impact on the product. Being comfortable in the code is a plus, but not required.
  • Product Sense: Our favorite product managers bring together insights from every corner (customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams) to design and build the best product experience.
  • Curiosity: The best candidates understand that creativity and growth start with a curious, humble mindset and asking thoughtful questions. 
  • Ownership: The best product managers take the responsibility of delivering a successful product to heart, and step in wherever needed, even if crossing typical role boundaries; they never shy away from the details nor lose sight of the bigger picture.
  • Communication: Effective communication to any audience (company leadership, engineering, customers, and more) is key to success in this role. 
  • Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates are smart, hard working, competitive, and not afraid to fail. They are team first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision.  
  • Proven product management experience (at least 3+ years), with demonstrated success in product delivery, ideally at an Enterprise SaaS company (even better if in an Internet Infrastructure company)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent technical experience, higher level degree (MBA, MS, etc.) a bonus but not required
