Job Description Summary

Nationwide’s Enterprise Risk & Advanced Analytics (ERAA) team partners with business unit and corporate functions to help ensure that Nationwide's risk profile is well understood, effectively managed, and Nationwide's capital position is strong. Enterprise Risk Management functions include: Investment Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Operational Risk Management, Risk & Capital Reporting, Enterprise Model Risk Management, Enterprise Risk & Capital Modeling, Enterprise Analytics Office as well as matrixed relationships with the Nationwide Financial and Property & Casualty Actuarial offices.

As an Enterprise Risk Management Intern, expect an exciting, challenging experience where you learn something new every day. Internship positions will be filled for the Corporate ERM and the Investment Risk Management teams.

The Nationwide® Intern Program is a 12-week summer internship in Columbus, Ohio that provides participants with opportunities to gain valuable experience in risk management. You’ll receive the chance to work in and learn about the various areas and functions of enterprise risk management, such as investment risk management, model risk management, risk modeling, operational risk management, risk reporting, risk governance, risk data and analytics. Our interns are strongly considered for future full-time positions.

Skills/Qualifications Desired

• Students pursuing, but not limited to, degrees in the following academic fields: Finance, Economics, Investments, Econometrics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics within 2-3 semesters of graduation
• Superior academic achievement
• Experiences that demonstrate leadership qualities
• Communication and analytical skills
• Ability to think strategically and critically
