Accountant (Roto Plants)

As an Accountant, you will serve as a key member of the Business Unit Finance team, providing direct financial support to multiple manufacturing plants. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of both Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) processes, as well as supporting month-end close activities, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. You will also contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
What you’ll be doing:
Accounts Receivable Support
Conduct daily review and processing of sales invoices for four manufacturing plants, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of A/R functions
Review and process credit memos to correct invoice discrepancies, maintaining accurate customer billing records
Partner with plant finance teams to support the timely and accurate handling of customer return credits
Reconcile weekly sales data between the shop floor system and the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting
Review aged A/R and work with the appropriate contacts to resolve unpaid aged invoices and improve cash flow
Accounts Payable Support
Conduct daily review of Accounts Payable holds for four manufacturing plants, ensuring holds are resolved accurately and timely
Review aged indirect POs and follow up with the appropriate plant contacts to resolve aged open POs
Review and process AP invoices related to wet goods and adhesives
Provide plant support for miscellaneous A/P issues as they arise
Plant Accounting Support
Directly responsible for the general accounting and closing of a cylinder engraving plant
Process daily the transfer of data from our shop floor system to our ERP system for four plants.
Support the plants as needed with processing of inventory-related transactions
Support month-end close activities including:
Creating manual journal entries for accruals
Support inventory reconciliation from the ERP system to the general ledger
Gathering and organizing support for key balance sheet accounts
Provide budgeting and forecast support as needed
Support internal and external audit requests
This position located in our Charlotte Office (South End Area) with the potential to be Hybrid

Business:
Solid understanding of A/P and A/R processes within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities
Familiarity with internal controls and audit compliance
Technical:
Proficiency in ERP systems such as Dynamic 365, Oracle, & Radius
Strong Excel skills including the ability to create pivot tables
Experience with business analytics tools such as Power BI and Qlik
Relational:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to articulate financial issues to non-financial stakeholders clearly
Skilled in diplomatically resolving discrepancies and collaborating across departments
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent in professional accounting/finance qualification
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $65,000 to $75,000
