Job Description
Embark on an exciting opportunity as an Administrative Assistant in a dynamic accounting environment. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the director of a respected chartered accountancy firm, handling a variety of tasks that keep the business running smoothly. This position offers a unique blend of administrative duties, communication management, and personal assistance, providing you with a diverse and engaging workday. Responsibilities
- Manage and transcribe dictations from the director, ensuring accuracy in technical accounting terminology
- Handle email communications efficiently, prioritizing and responding to inquiries
- Assist with personal administrative tasks for the director, enhancing overall productivity
- Schedule appointments and make calls on behalf of the firm
- Type up documents from verbal instructions, maintaining attention to detail
- Provide general administrative support, adapting to the daily needs of the business
- Collaborate directly with the company director, gaining insights into high-level business operations
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to understand and use technical accounting terms
- Proficient typing skills with a minimum speed of 40-45 words per minute
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently in a remote setting
- Familiarity with standard office software and email management tools
- Adaptability to work within New Zealand business hours
- Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems as needed
