Position Description: 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Strategic Communications Specialist to join our Strategic Communications team to support the execution of communication initiatives across content creation, digital platforms, event support, copywriting, administrative tasks, and more. This role is ideal for a candidate who excels at collaborating with team members and providing essential support to achieve organizational goals. A key aspect of this job will be assisting with the development and production of financial communications, press releases, and employee communications.

Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities: 

Content Support

  • Assist in drafting, editing, formatting content, and distribution of press releases, internal communications, annual financial reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Work closely with content creators and team leads to ensure materials meet brand guidelines.
  • Support the distribution of communication materials through appropriate channels.
  • Partner with marketing teams on design, formatting, and general presentation. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather content for various initiatives. 

Digital Support

  • Help maintain the organization’s internal & external websites by uploading and updating content as directed.
  • Support email marketing campaigns by maintaining distributions lists, creating templates, and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Compile and organize analytics data for digital platforms to inform strategy discussions.
  • Schedule and publish social media posts according to the content calendar, monitor platforms for engagement, flag important interactions for the team, and assist in gathering and organizing visual assets for social media use.

Event Support

  • Provide support to corporate events team, assisting with meeting logistics, including slide decks and material preparation.
  • Help create and distribute promotional materials for events, including save the date, registration links, websites, mobile apps and other marketing-related materials
  • Coordinate post-event follow-ups, such as summaries, surveys and thank-you email as required. 

Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain communication and editorial calendars to keep the team on schedule.
  • Organize and update the team’s digital asset library, ensuring easy access to approved materials.
  • Prepare reports and summaries on communication activities and their outcomes for internal use.
  • Engage/coordinate with vendors/customers and internal teams on communication materials.

It’s an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, journalism, public relations, graphic design or related field, and/or equivalent related work experience. Ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in communications and/or marketing. Agriculture and finance experience a plus.
