We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Business Data Specialist, with a strong data background, to join our KYC Change Management team in Nordea. 


KYC Change Management is embarking on an exciting new development journey aimed at developing a new strategic KYC solution, the Global KYC Tool. This tool will eventually replace the current KYC application landscape. 


As a Data Architect for KYC Change Management, you will play a pivotal role in creating tangible value towards Nordea’s mission of detecting and preventing financial crime, by creating conceptual data models, supporting different user cases and analysing and translating business needs into robust and long-term data solutions.


About this opportunity


KYC provides the framework for ensuring that we know whom we are doing business with, where their money comes from, and the purpose of the transactions. A robust KYC process is the key element in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF). 


Nordea has set out ambitious targets for 2025. The success of the KYC strategic solution is a vital part of reaching those targets.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Evaluating existing data systems and understanding the data dictionary and the attributes
  • Creating and supporting the road maps for the data foundation
  • Understanding the business processes and transformations, and support them
  • Creating source to target data mappings and transformations
  • Coordinating with various stake holders for data requirements
  • Designing the target data model for KYC

 

Description of knowledge and experience:

  • KYC and financial crime prevention experience preferred
  • Good understanding of banking and its products
  • Experience working with Financial Crime prevention area will be a plus
  • Experience working with Agile will be a plus
  • SQL
  • Data model design
  • Requirement gathering
  • Data governance

 

The role is based in Sweden, Finland, Estonia or Poland.
