About the Role The Meeting Intelligence team focuses on building Highspot’s coaching capabilities by delivering an AI-enhanced conversational intelligence platform that integrates meeting data into the feedback loop, creating differentiated value for customers. We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer who will bring their creativity and experience to Highspot to help us build software with a spark of magic. As a senior frontend engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of core frontend features of meeting intelligence. This is a role that works closely with Product Management, Design, and Backend Engineering. Our ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in building and maintaining large-scale web applications, along with strong communication skills and a proven ability to mentor and guide other engineers through complex, impactful technology changes.
While we don’t expect you to be an expert in all of these technologies, some of the languages and tools we use to build Highspot include Ruby, MongoDB, PostgreSQL,React, Next.js, Solr, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. 
As a senior frontend engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of core frontend features of meeting intelligence. Our ideal candidate understands how to build customer-facing web applications; they are a skilled communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with designers, product managers, and engineers; they are self-managed, curious, and resourceful.

What You'll Do

• Develop new customer-facing product features and functionality with the highest quality
• Maximize what is possible with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML in the browser
• Partner cross-functionally with UX and Product Management to  to translate product ideas, specifications, and mocks into fully functional and accessible user experiences and create the best software possible 
• Recommend and drive frontend infrastructure improvements
• Write automated tests of your code to deliver software at a high level of quality
• Leads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products. 
• Take on the role of a technology leader in our most challenging cross-functional projects
• Support the professional growth of others by actively mentoring individuals 
• Leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to exert technical influence over multiple teams, enhancing their productivity and effectiveness through sharing
• Resolve major customer technical issues in production
• Contribute to internal and external technical documentation

Your Background

• 6+ years of experience building front end applications with ReactJS, working with databases, and implementing production-ready high quality feature
• Proficiency in building cross-browser, highly interactive web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Competency in conducting unit and integration tests using Jest and React testing library
• Well-versed in the web platform itself, including concerns like performance, security, and accessibility.
• Proficiency in integrating with and supporting APIs using a variety of languages, data formats, and data transformation
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to develop and deliver high-quality applications
• An entrepreneurial spirit: you’re agile, creative, resourceful, and tenacious as you solve problems and achieve team and company goals
• Experience developing software products, scalable internet software, and applications using a range of software models
• Prior exposure to Postgres, Mongo or Ruby on Rails framework is a plus
• Ability to perform end-to-end automation tests with Test Cafe is a plus

Base salary range: $154,000 - $252,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compe
