OPEN POSITION: Human Resources Manager
DATE: January 2024 Department: HR Lexington
ADDITION / REPLACEMENT: Replacement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- 5-10 years Human Resources Generalist experience in a management role required
- Knowledge of state & federal legislation regarding employee relations, benefits, and workers compensation
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and computer skills required
- Previous automotive/manufacturing experience required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures prompt resolution of colleague issues
- Interprets and provides guidance to divisional management and colleagues relative to Human Resources policy and practices
- Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures
- Investigates complaints, problems, issues, and disciplinary situations
- Manages colleague performance review and evaluation process
- Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory agencies
- Coordinates divisional colleague monthly meetings including, preparing the agenda
- Manages divisional job posting program
- Recruits, screens, interviews, and hires prospective hourly and salaried colleagues
- Negotiates employment contracts and presents offers
- Participates as a member of the divisional health and safety committee
- Administers divisional health and safety program including timely resolution of safety committee action plans and ensures accidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.
- Manages worker’s compensation program
- Manages wage and salary administration program in a consistent and equitable manner
- Coordinates and participates in civic, community and charitable events
- Maintains divisional colleague files
- Maintains divisional HRIS data base
