The Senior Coding Educator identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. This role is expected to develop an action plan and influence group adoption by effectively engaging providers and operational leaders, oversee its implementation and monitor outcomes.

The Senior Coding Educator is responsible for creating and executing the risk adjustment strategy for each provider groups.

• Analyzes data and reporting and provides educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care, documentation and coding improvements.

• Collaboration with HQRI
• Understand and drive strategic initiatives
• Begins to influence department’s strategy
• Presentation and webinars to leadership and providers

Required Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification through AHIMA or AAPC

• Medical record review knowledge

• Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of coding guidelines (i.e. ICD-9/ICD-10)

• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Analyzing Data to drive process improvement

• Experience with public speaking and presentation skills

• Live in EST or CST states

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• Certified Risk Coder (CRC)

• Experience interacting with healthcare providers

• CPC- I

• Knowledge of CMS Stars

Work hours 8am-5pm

Work at home - with ability to travel (up to 10%) to surrounding provider offices

Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
