Position: Manager Identity Services

 

Location: Remote (HQ: Tustin, CA)

 

Position Summary:

 

The Manager Identity Services will lead the team that provides implementation, operational support and continuous improvement of Identity systems including authorization, authentication, directory services, governance and user account provisioning.  The successful candidate will be technically versed, passionate about customer service and act as the main point of contact for Identity systems.  This position is part of the Cybersecurity Services team, reporting to the Director of Identity Services and is a member of the Technology Services management team. 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for employee/customer/partner Identity systems
  • Lead the Identity Services team, ensuring the highest levels of system availability, capacity and security
  • Analyze, design, implement, administer and support Okta integrations for business applications
  • Seek opportunities to research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and vendors for continuous improvement of Identity services capabilities
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to optimize and expand Identity services to support business needs
  • Responsible for Identity systems related licensing/subscriptions, ensuring appropriate coverage with a focus on cost containment
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL v4 Service Value System for Identity systems
  • Mentor and build capabilities of the team:
    • Meet with team members on a regular basis to build relationships, seek feedback and develop team competencies
    • Align work with priorities and goals to the organization, department, and industry regulations
    • Provide a clear articulation of direction and expectations of delivery (Quality, Scope, Time)
    • Hold team members accountable and provide feedback on performance
    • Develop team members so they can perform and progress their career
    • Coordinate roles and tasks of team members to achieve goals
    • Recruit best fit talent for the Identity Services team
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, policies, SLAs, communications and knowledge base
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to technology peers and business partners
  • Good understanding of process orientation, understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends
  • Ability to be part of a rotating on-call 24x7x365 schedule

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with leading IAM vendors, preferably PingOne
  • Demonstrated experience with leading IGA vendors; Sailpoint, Saviynt, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge in implementing OAuth, SAML, FIDO, multi-factor, passwordless and single sign-on authentication,  Authorization, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in best practices related to ITDR, ISPM, JIT, PAM, and ZeroTrust
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols, services, and traffic flows
  • Proven management of staff, projects and vendors
  • Ability to drive initiatives and lead meetings in subject matter expertise areas
  • Ability to stay current on technology trends and quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize appropriately, cope well with change and maintain composure under high pressure situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in collaborating with third-party vendors, effectively communicating company requirements, and fostering relationships to support future product releases.
  • Ability to communicate with staff and management of any level
  • Knowledge of common security/privacy frameworks; CIS, NYCRR 500, CSF, PCI, NIST, CCPA/CPRA, etc.

 

Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, business or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10+ year of experience in cybersecurity, information technology or combined
