The People Business Partner, along with the Vice President, People, will help ensure an exceptional employee experience, and handle various aspects of People Operations. Recruiting and onboarding for high volume hiring is a primary responsibility. The position will also support benefits and 401(k) administration, compensation, employee relations, performance management, off-boarding, policy implementation and employment law compliance. The position will also support the evolution of the People function as it changes to support the growing business. This role is on-site in our Brunswick, Georgia office and relocation services are unavailable at this time.

Essential Duties & Requirements
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for exempt and non-exempt positions
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, and complete job descriptions.
- Complete compensation analyses and recommendations for new roles.
- Acquire background checks and conduct employee eligibility (I-9) verifications.
- Applicant Tracking System administration.
- Focus on creating an exceptional onboarding experience for all new employees:
- Manage logistics related to location, technology, resources, and scheduling.
- Conduct orientation and manage updates and changes to process and presentation.
- Manage various communications (announcements, team, and office integration) and tools to facilitate accelerated i integration and success.
- Share ideas for ensuring an exceptional employee experience. Raise awareness of any issues impacting employee experience and propose solutions in alignment with People strategy.
- Support compensation administration, including promotion, pay increase, bonus, new hire, and separation pay processing aligned with business needs and People strategy.
- Support goal setting and performance review processes.
- Support the oversight of benefits, 401(k) and worker’s compensation administration, and partner with third parties to ensure accurate administration and an exceptional employee experience.
- Ensure People data is updated and accurate, maintaining HRIS records and employee files, and partner with payroll vendor to ensure effective interface.
- Field and resolve general People-related questions such as employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Facilitate employee relations issues, perform investigations and track outcomes in accordance with People processes.
- Provide guidance to managers regarding performance improvement and corrective action situations.
- Manage off-boarding process including participating in termination conversations, conducting exit interviews, preparing separation communications, etc.
- Process unemployment claims and represent the company in unemployment proceedings if necessary.
- Support various special projects related to People systems and processes.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.

- Self-driven and able to work with limited direction.
- Superior judgment and decision-making skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system administration.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a strategic Human Resources role.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Recruiter.
- Broad mastery of core HR processes, with experience in recruitment, engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, and learning and development.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices and practical application in the workplace.
- Experience using HR Information Systems.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies
- Professional Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
