Scope: Job Description
Department: Executive/Administration
Reports to: Facility General Manager
General Purpose: Oversight of the following for the ICS Lafayette location: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of employees; benefits administration and enrollment, performance management, FMLA/Short-Term Disability documentation, EHS (including OSHA compliance and Worker’s Compensation documentation), and employee engagement, and training of team members.
Description of Duties:
New Employee Management (70% Projected Time)
- Work with local and Corporate sourcing pools
- Create and manage local advertising initiatives (billboards, radio ads, etc.)
- Work with outside temporary/staffing agencies as needed to fulfill skilled & non-skilled openings
- Pre-Screen all candidates to ensure they meet all hiring qualifications
- Schedule and perform onsite interviews and tours for candidates
- Manage/Coordinate the hiring process (E-Verify/I-9, new hire paperwork, drug screens, background checks, physicals, onboarding, Insurance/Thrift Program)
- Manage college recruiting programs, build and maintain relationships with local recruiting resources such as WorkOne, the Excel Center, and local high schools
- Conduct New Hire Orientation & schedule initial Alchemy SQF training
- Conduct 1-week, 2-week, & 1-month Employee Onboarding Surveys
- Manage/Track 30/60/90-day evaluation and Training programs for new hire employees
Current Employee Management (20% Projected Time)
- Manage/Track employee turnover and retention, develop solutions to improve employee turnover and retention
- Manage/Track employee annual training programs
- Manage/Track Job Postings, Job Movement
- Track wage Increases and wage adjustments
- Track employee information change programs (Submit to Corporate for processing)
- Process Paperwork for all Terminations (Submit to Corporate for Processing)
- Plan and coordinate employee appreciation events/programs
- Coordinate corporate and local training programs (EHS, leadership development, etc.)
- Ensure employee information is up-to-date in HRIS (ADP)
- Maintain employee personnel files (physical and e-files)
- Attend and document Engagement Team Meetings and Safety Meetings
- Work with department supervisors/managers to ensure job descriptions and trainings for all employees are up-to-date
- Conduct internal employee relation investigations
- Miscellaneous Employee Interaction
General (10% Projected Time)
- Oversee Employee Bonus Programs (Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, Annual)
- Track OSHA/DART Logs & Safety Incident documentation (Submit to Corporate for processing)
- Prepare and Submit Annual EEOC/Manpower Reports
- Prepare Annual Facility Handbook revisions
- Complete payroll/timecard submission (as needed when Accounting Coordinator is out of office)
Skills Required:
- Ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Previous experience with ADP (HRIS) a plus.
- Strong communications Skills (written, verbal); ability to communicate and collaborate up and down the organizational staff
- Ability to multi-task (Strong Time Management Skills)
- Strong organization skills
- Lead with exceptional disposition, integrity, and decency
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong project management abilities
Physical Demands
- Ability to work off primary shift if needed
- Ability to work weekends if needed

Education: Four Year (4) college bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred
Experience: 3-5 years HR Leadership/Management preferred (manufacturing setting)
