Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Testing Proctor (Human Resources Technician Senior). This position is responsible for administering pre-employment tests and assessments to qualified applicants for the position of Correctional Officer for the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) within the Recruitment Unit for Selection and Hiring (RUSH). Job Duties:

- Conducts Evaluation Centers
- Prepares testing materials
- Provides verbal instruction
- Administers written tests
- Scores written tests
- Finger prints applicants
- Copies documents
- Coordinates/plans recruitment trips to include evaluation centers and job fairs
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Interacts with applicants in person, via phone and/or Internet to supply information, schedule testing appointments and answers questions
- Prepares reports and provide statistical information
- Drives on state business to statewide locations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- State and agency personnel rules, policies and procedures
- Problem solving techniques
- Customer service techniques
- Basic arithmetic word processing
- Spreadsheet and database management
- Personnel selection devices
- Recruiting, screening, and interviewing techniques
- Data collection and tabulation
- Classification and employment processes
- Data processing

Skill in:
- Presentation
- Data processing
- Survey data collection and tabulation
- Administering various selection devices including written and performance tests
- Planning coordination and/or resolving support problems in one or more Human Resources specialties
- Carrying out limited projects
- Examining a variety of personnel documents for accuracy and processing
- Oral and written communications

Ability to:
- Learn, understand and apply state and federal laws, as well as, state and agency rules, procedures and policies
- Provide recruitment, screening, and interviewing assistance
- Respond to a wide range of personnel inquiries and situations with accuracy and diplomacy
- Provide support to analysts involved in one or more specialties
- Perform a variety on interrelated and/or non-standard Human Resources support assignment
- Apply basic personnel rules, procedures and operations

Selective Preference(s):

- Extensive customer service experience and excellent communications skills with large group speaking
