The Duke Cancer Institute’s Bone Marrow Transplant, Hematology Malignancies & Cellular Therapy Clinical Research Programs (BMT) is looking for a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead a dynamic clinical team conducting complex oncology trials, including investigational products (IP), across Phase 1–4 studies in leukemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
You’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge research, managing study operations, coordinating site visits, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. Your nursing expertise will be vital in supporting patient care and research integrity, while your leadership will help shape the future of oncology research at Duke.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
- Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
- Twelve months of appropriate clinical nursing experience.
- Must maintain compliance with hospital/unit-specific training and active RN status with NCBON.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology or clinical research experience.
- Bilingual proficiency.
Other Requirements:
- Operate within the scope of a licensed RN, including ambulatory medication and chemotherapy administration.
- Basic dysrhythmia review competency.
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- This position is onsite at Duke University.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will:
- Lead and support complex oncology clinical trials and research studies.
- Manage investigational products, study documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate site visits and monitor study progress using Duke’s clinical research management systems.
- Train and mentor RN staff and research team members.
- Ensure ethical conduct of research, including AE reporting and informed consent.
- Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and internal stakeholders to maintain study integrity.

Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $64966.00 to USD $104,996.00. Duke University consider
