The Risk Adjustment Coding Analyst (RACA) contributes to AHF by providing medical coding knowledge pertaining to the Managed Care Risk Adjustment Model in PHP’s SNP leading to accurate risk scores which are used by CMS to adjust payments to health plans and predict healthcare costs.
The RACA enhances the reputation of AHF by coding according to Coder Guidelines and maintaining a full understanding of the regulations that apply to the coding and auditing of medical charts. The RACA also abides by all laws that protect the confidentiality of medical records.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.
The RACA will work as a part of a close-knit team to enhance the accuracy of the Care Management revenue model by i.) Reviewing and analyzing medical records; ii) Assigning and capturing the ICD 10 HCC codes from the medical records of members in PHP’s SNP to reflect their health status, while delivering the Risk Adjustment provider education necessary and while meeting coding deadlines for all HCC coding projects.
Licenses and Certifications: AAPC or AHIMA certified.
