Fabric R&D Assistant

Location: New York,New York,United States

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain sample room inventory & organization, local dye stock
• Send out solid color standards to mills
• Receive SRS yardage for in-house sample making as well as local dyeing
• Requests & receives fabric adoption sheets to update seasonal fabric charts
  • AO# charts, Lectra
  • Adding new materials to BlueCherry
• Maintain fabric swatch archive
  • Organize seasonal 1/4yd by AO#
  • Swatch new solid / core materials for design record
• Organizing seasonal material color record for production handoff
  • Owning the solid color ‘snip chart’ & flagging color matching issues
• New seasonal header scanning / organizing
• Handling preseason mock requests in partnership with PD
• Assist in updating Detail Charts (print / lining)
  • Assigning new P# and recapping to teams
  • Tracking print development & lining x-mills
• Take fabric images for merch market deck

REQUIREMENTS:

• Entry/1+ years of experience in the fashion industry
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Working knowledge of material construction and textile science
• Familiarity in PLM and data systems a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

BENEFITS:

• $50,000 - $60,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other A+O employees.)
