FACILITIES TECHNICIAN II / SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Rocket Lab is expanding, and we’re excited to welcome you aboard! Based out of Rocket Lab's newest Space Structures Complex production facility in Middle River, MD, and part of the dynamic Neutron program as a FACILITIES TECHNICIAN II / SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN, you’ll collaborate closely with the Facilities Maintenance Lead and our Facilities Operations Team, creating tangible impacts of Neutron’s production facility.
(Please note: this position can be hired at the Facilities Technician II or Senior Facilities Technician)
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Troubleshoot and maintain facility/HVAC equipment and systems.

Monitor and ensure that industrial air compressors, vacuum pumps, and cranes are operational.

Perform facilities and process equipment operational and preventive maintenance procedures.

Work with engineers to resolve issues or plan for acquiring/installing new equipment or systems.

Install new facilities and process equipment.

Assume a leadership role in training and supporting new technicians.

Support waste management tasks.

Monitor facility/HVAC systems and suggest modifications for improvement.

Maintain facility data collection requirements and procedures.

Identify nonconformance's when they occur and participate in finding solutions.

Deploy the Quality Management System as it applies to the scope of work.

Ensure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed within budgeted guidelines.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A TECHNICIAN II - FACILITIES:
- 6+ years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial and commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building support equipment.
- Certifications in gantry crane test and maintenance.
- Experience using a respirator.
- High School Diploma.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN:
- 12+ years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing/production environment.
- High-level expertise in the maintenance and repair of industrial and commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building support equipment.
- Qualified Electrician, Plumber, or HVAC technician.
