Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our dynamic team in either Berkeley, Missouri; Tukwila, Washington; Mesa, Arizona or Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

This position requires an individual with exceptional program management (PM) skills in order to successfully interact with PM counterparts within BDS programs and with other functional support teams (i.e. Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality) to guide and facilitate the development and integration of plans, strategies, processes, best practices, and projects to meet business goals. Must be able to assess and analyze the key drivers of program performance, identify PM process dependencies, and lead “full kit” development and implementation of new policies and procedures.  The ability to clearly and concisely communicate the details of complex subjects, both orally and in writing, to Boeing Executive leadership and key stakeholders is a core requirement of this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides a vital link between the BDS PM Functional Home Office and BDS Programs
  • Assists program teams in planning for and executing key program management functional requirements (e.g. Program Management Best Practice assessments, Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management, Change Management, etc.).
  • Provides PM coaching and guidance to program personnel
  • Represents senior management in areas such as communicating functional policy, strategy and direction
  • Collaborates with and supports programs in fulfilling Program Management functional requirements
  • Shares best practices: PMBP, RIO, Change Board, Lessons Learned
  • Communicates Program Management functional improvement activities to stakeholders, assist in implementation and tracking
  • Provides process feedback from programs to PM Home Office as appropriate
  • Provides focused PM training for Division/Program personnel
  • Collaborates with other functional representatives to strengthen program performance

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Experience with end-to-end project/program management: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project closeout
  • Experience working with corporate functions (i.e. human resources, finance, etc.)
  • Experience driving forward business transformation initiatives
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Experience building and presenting plans or recommendations to executive leadership
  • Experience analyzing data and developing metrics to track performance to plan for a business/organization

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
