Role Responsibilities

• Provide AML Compliance support to agents of Western Union and its affiliates to build programs that are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and other anti-money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses.
• Support agents' efforts to comply with company policies and procedures as they relate to anti-money laundering.
• Evaluate internal controls and anti-money laundering compliance programs for agents through transaction analyses, compliance reviews, and training sessions.
• Follow-up with agents regarding review findings.
• In addition to standard program reviews, the Sr. Compliance Officer will be responsible for program reviews that are more complex in nature and non-routine including referrals from agent risk management, requiring more advanced analysis, and reasoning and judgment skills.
• Manage compliance relationships and offer compliance support to large agent networks and strategic accounts.
• Ability to travel 50%.

Role Requirements

• Experience in anti-money laundering (AML), Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reporting System (SARS), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and fraud compliance.
• 4-6 years of experience in compliance, auditing, risk mgmt. or banking with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in BSA Compliance.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and training/presentation skills.
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to analyze, utilize industry standards, and employ sound judgment to draw conclusions regarding the status of an agent's compliance program.
• Independent worker with excellent multi-tasking ability.
• Highly developed and demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $90,000-105,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
