Role Overview:
As an SAP Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust SAP solutions that align with business transformation goals. You will serve as the technical lead across SAP projects and operations, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and performance of SAP systems including ECC (S/4 Transformation), MDG, GTS, GRC, Solution manager and their integrations with middleware and other Add-on/Boltons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture & Design:
- Develop and maintain the SAP technical architecture and own the operational landscape
- Lead the design of SAP technical roadmap and own its deliverables
- Ensure alignment of SAP architecture with enterprise IT strategy and business goals
- Project Leadership & Delivery:
- Manage Operational and Project related resources
- Oversee full-cycle SAP implementations and upgrades
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions
- Provide technical oversight and guidance during project execution
- Integration & Performance Optimization:
- Design and manage integration between SAP and non-SAP systems
- Optimize system performance, conduct sizing, and manage infrastructure requirements
- Lead SAP migrations (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA) using Greenfield or Brownfield approaches
- Governance & Best Practices:
- Establish and enforce SAP technical standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and change management protocols.
- Evaluate and implement SAP updates, patches, and new technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in SAP architecture, consulting, or systems integration
- SAP BASIS and SAP HANA certifications
- Proven experience in SAP technical design, installation, and administration of complex High Availability systems across multiple OS and DB variants
- Proven experience in the implementation, test and operational readiness of critical Disaster Recovery scenarios
