Position Overview: As the Director of HVAC Service, you will oversee all aspects of our HVAC service operations, ensuring high standards of performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for leading a team of service technicians, developing and implementing service strategies, and collaborating with other departments to enhance service delivery and support our company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the HVAC service department, including service technicians, Installers,  dispatchers, and support staff.
• Develop and execute service strategies to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and quality control of service calls to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
• Implement and maintain high standards for service quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer needs, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to drive continuous improvement and achieve departmental goals.
• Develop and deliver training programs for service technicians to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.
• Manage the service department budget, including resource allocation, inventory management, and cost control.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the company at the forefront of the HVAC service industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in HVAC service management, including leadership roles in residential HVAC operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, technologies, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency with HVAC service management software and basic computer applications.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, EPA) and licenses are preferred.
