Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Manager Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:
 

Job Duties: Manage the activities of engineering teams and projects and execute leadership with little direction from the manager. Work cross functionally to align and achieve team goals successfully. Set team priorities and define roles, responsibilities, and workflow. Create a workforce plan and delegate work and ensure deliverables are met on time, on budget and to quality standards. Integrate and balance ‘big picture’ concerns with day-to-day activities. Establish operational objectives and delegates assignments. Establish and recommend engineering best practices and standards to core team. Anticipate, proactively communicate, and help resolve issues before they arise. Make effective tactical decisions; resolve unforeseen issues and high severity escalations. Develop relationships with key individuals, both internal and external to Salesforce, to achieve team objectives and improve processes. Responsible for performance, compensation, and promotion recommendations for team members. Manage the day-to-day activities of individual contributors and be accountable for the successful completion and delivery of team projects and initiatives. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).
 

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) SQL; (3) Python; (4) Mathematical Statistics and Analysis; (5) Networking Principles; (6) Software Design and Debugging; (7) Technical writing; (8) Management principles (Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
 

Salary: $237,120.00 - $276,100.00 per annum.
