We’re searching for a Research Assistant, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll participate in research activities including subject recruitment, confirmation of subject eligibility, informed consent, completion of case report forms, data clarification, IRB preparations, medical record abstraction, and data collection, while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of research data. You’ll also assist physicians with preparing manuscripts, presentation slides and posters, conducting literature reviews, updating study databases, and supporting professional publications through writing, referencing, editing, basic medical illustrating, statistical analysis, and creating tables and charts.

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1 year research experience required
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains files for assigned research projects
- Conducts data collection and assures data integrity for research projects
- Works with staff and other team members to validate that data collection is accurately completed
- Works with designated leads to complete IRB submissions, subject recruitment, data entry, and analysis
- Prepares data analysis tables, figures, and charts necessary for professional data display
- Coordinates day-to-day activities of assigned projects to ensure all goals are met
- Coordinates meetings, meeting minutes, and presentations for project teams
- Participates in data collection for assigned projects and assists with data interpretation and analysis
- Provides one-to-one consultation for staff needing assistance with research literature searches
- Conducts independent research literature searches for staff and designated project leads
- Obtains research articles and textbooks from the medical library as needed
- Provides summaries of literature findings to project leads or project teams
- Maintains data files for projects coordinated by the department
- Compiles monthly activities reports and distributes them as needed
- Tracks individual workload and submits updates to the Director on a weekly basis
- Coordinates the annual report for the department in collaboration with the Director
- Prepares PowerPoint presentations for staff as needed
- Assists in preparation of posters for professional presentations
- Serves as a resource for PowerPoint, Excel, and other databases used in research activities
