FL68: Research Associate, Drug Product Development

Position Summary:

FL68 is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to culture and maintain induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) lines, direct cell differentiations, performing in vitro readouts, and manufacture cellular drug product. This candidate will play a vital role in the company’s efforts to demonstrate platform capabilities and transition findings into early pre-clinical studies. This candidate must have a strong desire to work collaboratively within and across teams, have excellent communication skills, and be willing to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

 

Key Skills:

• Maintain sterile human iPSC cell cultures and perform directed cell differentiations.
• Perform cell-based and molecular assays (e.g. ELISAs, cell viability, metabolic)
• Maintain and operate instrumentation associated with cellular drug product manufacturing
• Data and statistical analysis.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date electronic lab notebook.
• Report experimental plans and results to scientific team and management.

 

Required:

• BA/BS in life sciences, biology, or biomedical engineering with 0-2 years of industry experience
• Previous laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture
• Experience with molecular and cell biology assays.
• Previous laboratory experience with iPSC cell culture is a plus
• Experience with cell-compatible biomaterials (e.g. PEG, alginate, etc.) is a plus
• Experience with microfluidic flow devices is a plus
