You'll develop, execute, and manage procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and components. What You Will Do as a USANA Sr. Supply Chain Planner/Buyer
- Verify ERP data accuracy and maintain ERP item attributes to ensure proper signals
- Develop, execute, and manage procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and components
- Create and maintain production plans aligning with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and company objectives
- Analyze material requirements, lead times, and capacity constraints to mitigate risks and prevent production delays
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships to improve the supply chain, solve shortage issues and reduce costs and lead times
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards
- Manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality metrics, and compliance with company policies
- Actively pursue and qualify additional sources for key materials/finished goods, working closely with R&D, Regulatory and Quality to ensure that specifications are comparable and acceptable
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent planning/purchasing experience required
- Five plus years in purchasing/planning or related experience in inventory management, planning or logistics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP systems
- Solid and proven understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning.
- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions
- Six Sigma/Lean/ISM/APICS certifications strongly preferred
