Research Analyst

SixMap is a Maryland based cybersecurity company using high performance computing to automate cybersecurity. SixMap technology and capabilities significantly reduce the people-hours required to assess, operate, and defend computer networks. SixMap Computational Mapping (CM) supports Automated Network Management and Defense (ANMD) for the Enterprise. Solely from the name of any organization or network name, SixMap provides enterprise discovery, network discovery, and host discovery then generates solution playbooks for Enterprise scale networks operating in IPv4-only, dual-stack, and IPv6-only environments.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Analyst to investigate, document, and generate reports to drive the foundation of SixMap’s computational mapping. Success in this role would include independently analyzing legal, business, and news sources to define the extended enterprise. 

Responsibilities

• Methodically analyze, capture, and document the extended enterprise for organizations across all business verticals
• Use online research, services, and sources to databases
• Capture and maintain versioned records over time
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company
• Partner with research colleagues to provide peer review and quality assurance

Requirements

• Proficiency in conducting research and analysis 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Expertise in search engines and business research tooling and services
• BS degree preferred 

Things that will set you apart:

• Experience in digital records management 
• Demonstrated experience in project/program management and tooling (e.g. Jira)
• Experience with automation, scripting, programming
• Familiarity in security, networking
