Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr Staff Flight Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This role will be within the Strategic Development operating unit with a focus on new development opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of all System Test tasks
• Support technical reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
• Prepare, coordinate and brief execution status and risks at program meetings
• Maintain and update system test process documentation
• Supports Program Management in new business pursuits to include: capture, SOW shaping, technology evaluations, authoring white papers, trade studies, process improvement, and bidding & proposals.
• Manage the baseline of new engineering projects to include labor & non-labor planning & earned value management (EVM)
• Responsible for the successful development and execution of test plans and procedures to support program.
• Perform workforce planning in collaboration with the functional homeroom.
• Perform resource planning in collaboration with Program and Enterprise.
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
• Perform CAM duties for T&E cost accounts.
• Support Proposal development for all activities.

​Basic Qualifications for Staff Flight Test Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
• 14 years engineering experience with Bachelors; 12 years engineering experience with a Masters; 10 years of engineering experience with a PhD and Previous Test and Evaluation knowledge and experience.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current approved PARs to applicable program
• 9 years or more technical experience relating to system engineering, software engineering, or integration and test
• Experience managing a direct report staff
• Earned Value Management System experience
• Ability to analyze data and extract trends, anomalies, and errors.
• Work Package Management or Cost Account Management experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $175,300.00 - $262,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
