We’re looking for someone who loves a challenge, who’s eager to develop strategic sales plans, and who thrives on building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. If you’re a creative thinker with a knack for collaboration and sales, let’s chat.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Results: Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing directly to the hotel’s overall success. You'll be accountable for hitting both weekly and annual goals in a way that’s creative and strategic.
  • Lead Sales Initiatives: Cultivate a portfolio of group business accounts through proactive solicitation, strategic marketing, participation in trade shows, and engaging in sales blitzes. Be the catalyst for new opportunities!
  • Own Your Territory: Develop and maintain a robust database of accounts within your defined territory, ensuring all prospects are identified, qualified, and nurtured.
  • Collaboration is Key: Work closely with teams across the hotel, including Convention Services and Reservations, to ensure a seamless experience for our clients and guests.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure that every client interaction is exceptional and every detail is attended to.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Use your creativity to find innovative solutions, particularly when faced with challenges that push you to think outside the box. Your ideas will be valued here.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Omni Hotels in the best light, sharing our commitment to excellence and helping clients understand all the benefits of partnering with us – not just at the Omni Boston, but across the brand’s properties nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Experience Matters: At least five years of experience in group sales, ideally within a hotel or resort environment. You’re a seasoned pro who knows how to close deals, from cold calls to site inspections and contract negotiations.
  • Industry Connections: You have prior experience working with global sales organizations and Convention Bureaus, and you understand the importance of building strong industry relationships.
  • Tech Savvy: You’re comfortable with the latest sales software and tools, and you’re always ready to learn more about the tech that drives our industry.
  • Willingness to Travel: Represent the hotel at trade shows, conventions, and other industry events, traveling to expand your network and generate leads.
