About The Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead the development and execution of long-term demand and supply forecasts for our critical GPU and other cloud hardware infrastructure. This role sits within the Finance organization supporting the Capacity Finance Lead, and requires a strong foundation in statistical modeling and forecasting. This person will be responsible for building models, analyzing datasets, and collaborating with finance, operations, product, and engineering teams to generate long-term Cloud hardware demand and supply forecasts that will directly inform strategic investment decisions and financial plans. A successful candidate will have a background in data science, analysis, and/or statistical modeling in support of creating financial analyses.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term forecasting models for datacenter power, GPUs, compute, networking equipment, and other key cloud hardware components. 
  • Partner with finance colleagues to integrate demand forecasts into Excel driven financial models to create medium to long-range demand and supply estimates. 
  • Utilize a variety of statistical forecasting techniques, including time series analysis, regression modeling, and other relevant methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to understand product roadmaps, capacity planning initiatives, and market trends that may impact future demand.
  • Develop and present clear and concise reports summarizing forecast results, key assumptions, and potential risks and opportunities to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess the financial impact of various factors on hardware demand forecasts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA or MS is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a data science, statistical modeling, or related role within a finance organization.
  • Previous experience in Cloud, datacenter planning, or parallel field.
  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies, including time series analysis, regression analysis, or other statistical analysis implemented in support of financial analysis.
  • Experience performing complex financial analyses.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • High level of self-sufficiency with proven success at self-teaching and a high intellectual motor.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, and SQL.
  • Experience with Grafana, NetSuite, or Salesforce is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000-$180,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
