Micron’s Global Communications and Marketing team (GCM) is seeking a Sr. Manager, GCM Business Operations to lead all aspects of the core operational processes, finance, and prioritization that drive global communications and marketing forward. This key business operations leader will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing.
You will have significant experience in leading finance functions for a marketing and communications organization and driving cross-organization processes that improve business efficiencies optimize interpersonal workflows. The candidate must be execution-oriented and a proven expert in influencing peers, colleagues and leaders in a cross functional organization!
Role and Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CVP of Global Corporate Marketing and other leaders to implement the team’s vision and strategy
- Lead and balance the global GCM budget
- Drive fiduciary responsibility and budget rigor including refinement and education of finance processes.
- Lead and partner with a team of finance professionals to
- Drive reconciliation of operating budgets
- Produce and share financial reports with the senior management team, cost center mangers and Central Finance.
- Lead PO generation
- Ensure compliance with company policies
- Own the annual planning process and budget cycle in alignment with Micron’s planning and finance processes in partnership with GCM leadership team
- Represent GCM operational needs across cross-departmental initiatives including Procurement Central Finance and Legal
- Drive cross-organization communication and marketing operations strategies, processes, and standard methodologies to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing/communication activities.
- Provide insights that drive GCM strategy, teamwork and operational excellence to best support Micron’s business.
- Collaborate with teams to align operations with overall business objectives and drive coordinated communication and marketing efforts.
- Own cross-organizational planning and process implementation to fuel all Micron communications and marketing work in collaboration with internal collaborators
- Analyze long-term and near-term goals to resolve gaps, opportunities, and collaboration points across GCM.
- Provide insights that drive GCM partnership to best support Micron’s business beyond tactical accountability
- Drive development and maintenance of consistent processes, systems and infrastructure that enable GCM to scale globally
- Ensure alignment to people-org related deadlines and processes
- Strong project management skills and understanding of critical metrics and standard methodology processes
Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance or a related field required, MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in finance for marketing and communications functions preferably in high-tech industries
- Ability to step above the day-to-day and set the direction for the team for greater impact
- Ability to influence, encourage, and navigate a broad range of collaborators to drive solutions, innovation and alignment
- Proven experience in driving global budgets
- Ability to understand interpersonal dynamics and craft a structure that optimizes resources to deliver impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and pivot to meet tight deadlines and evolving business needs
- Ability to inspire team members to implement with excellence
- Strong understanding of all subject areas within GCM including global communications and marketing operations
- Agility and speed in decision-making with comfort taking an iterative approach
- Proficient with Power BI and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Teams, Workfront, SharePoint, and AI tools is a plus
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$115,000.00 - $268,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.
