Job Summary

The Corporate Intern will develop a solid understanding of the department they are in as well as the overall business.  The internship aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. Works within the department on day to day projects; projects will include but not be limited to activities related to process improvement, project management, data support, reporting, documentation, and other assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
•    Works within the department on day to day projects; which include but are not limited to activities related to process improvement, project management, data support, reporting, documentation, and other assigned responsibilities.
•    Builds relationships through meetings, events and one-on-ones with various employee owners and leaders.
•    Focuses on real-world projects within the department
•    Collaborates with various departments throughout the company.
 

Department Responsibilities
•    Performs installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networks and networking equipment in branch offices, datacenters, cloud tenants, and corporate offices.   
•    Installs and supports routers, switches, wireless networks, and firewalls.  
•    Supports MPLS WAN infrastructure, VPNs, broadband Internet circuits, cellular data services, DS1, cloud networks, and analog circuits.  Helps automate software updates when applicable.
•    Works with network providers to support and troubleshoot various telecommunications circuits and service issues.
•    Documents and diagrams network topologies and other procedures.
 

Nonessential Functions
•    Works as a part of the IT Network Team and assists with all hardware and software problems and incidents.
•    Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate.

Qualifications

•    Current student or new graduate (within last year) in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
•    Strong knowledge of business office procedures, office equipment operation, data entry/keyboarding skills and communication systems helpful.
•    Prefer strong knowledge of PC for Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).

•    Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills 
•    Ability to effectively plan and organize.
•    Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
