Job Description

  • Be responsible for driving commercial performance for Qantas Americas 
  • Play a key role in driving innovation, efficiencies and consistencies across the regions 
  • Full time permanent position, located at our Los Angeles corporate office (also open to considering applicants in New York or Dallas)
  • Salary range between $110,000 - $130,000USD

As the Manager Commercial Performance, you will take the lead in driving commercial performance analysis, streamlining reporting processes, and ensuring our sales team in region is powered with the right information to drive partnership growth with our agency and corporate partners. Reporting to the Head of Planning and Performance – Americas, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across Sales & Distribution, to understand and meet their business needs and ensure the Americas team delivers against their financial targets. You'll be a critical player in both supporting and challenging existing structures and processes, bringing a forward-thinking approach to identifying and implementing initiatives that drive efficiency, consistency, and innovation. Ultimately, your work will be central to optimizing performance and reporting across the Americas region. 

 

What you’ll bring to the role: 

  • 7+ years’ experience in an accounting or commercial planning/reporting role or another similar discipline 
  • Strategic business planning skills developed in a competitive sales environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business-case development from data exploration and insight preparation through to implementation 
  • Negotiation, communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • High level of IT literacy, including a good working knowledge of data analysis tools such as excel and Power BI 
  • Experience in the international airline and/ or travel industry – as well as knowledge and appreciation of wider strategic issues and drivers which shape the aviation industry; high level understanding of airline revenue management preferred
