Position Summary

Health Promotion provides quality educational experiences designed to positively impact the development of Elon students and contribute to the wellness of the campus community. The Assistant Director for Collegiate Recovery is an essential member of the Health Promotion professional team and will provide dedicated leadership in developing the Phoenix Free initiative as a model Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP). This position is responsible for the continued development, implementation, and coordination of a comprehensive collegiate recovery program that includes assessing needs and evaluating project outcomes. This position will work alongside professional staff to cultivate a recovery-ready campus, increase student access to substance use prevention and recovery support services, establish a visible network of recovery allies, and strengthen campus and community collaborations. This is a grant-funded position through June 2026.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Completed bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of post-bachelor’s professional experience in a higher education setting and working with young adults in recovery is required.

Preferred Education and Experience

Completed master’s degree in public health, social work, higher education, addiction studies, counseling, psychology, or related field and 1-2 years of experience is preferred.
