SUMMARY:  Obtains financial data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

• Performs any combination of routine accounting duties including calculating, verifying, matching, coding, filing, sorting, stuffing, stamping, and mailing of accounting documents.
• Management of individual customer accounts. Resolving any/all issues relating to; deductions, over and under payments, skipped or disputed invoices, etc.
• Preparing monthly AR reports and dashboards for report-out to the team, in monthly AR meetings, and segment reviews.
• Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities & problems as they arise.
• Data entry of customer cash receipt, when/where needed.
• Data entry of prices for customer orders shipped.
• Data entry of customer credits and debits.
• Print sales journals, review, prepare, post, print, mail, or email customer invoices.
• Upload posted invoices into customer (supplier) databases for processing, where appropriate, and in a timely manner.
• Issue credits for returned / rejected product per printed approval list.
• Batch and/or file accounting documents after processing is completed.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers to resolve billing questions/issues.
• Prepare bank deposits, when/where needed.
• Regular attendance & dependability.

• Could potentially encounter hazardous chemicals.

• Will be cross trained in other AR and AR Lead duties, where needed/appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: 

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Other Skills:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to operate a 10 key calculator.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Computer data entry.
• General knowledge of accounting.
• Excellent communication skills.
