About the Role
The Senior Customer Service Receptionist plays a key role in welcoming and assisting visitors by registering them for appointments or same-day procedures and issuing visitor badges through the Visitor Management System. This position is responsible for greeting patients and guests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate location. Additionally, the role includes mentoring new team members, leading operations at the Information Desk, and stepping in to support overall customer service in the supervisor’s absence to maintain a high standard of satisfaction.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Registers visitors for scheduled visits and same-day procedures.
- Creates visitor badges using the Visitor Management System.
- Greets patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provides prompt assistance and directs individuals to their appropriate destinations.
- Assists in onboarding and training new staff members.
- Takes the lead role at the Information Desk.
- Provides support in the supervisor’s absence to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least three (3) years of experience in a business, hospitality, or healthcare-related field
- Associate Degree with at least one (1) year of experience in a business, hospitality, or healthcare-related field (preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including:
- Data entry
- Website navigation
- Use of various software for daily operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Capable of organizing and resolving multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to troubleshoot issues with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Proper telephone etiquette and attention to detail
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual skills preferred

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is TC/1450: Probationary Rate $19.59 - Job Rate $20.10 - Two (2) Year Rate - $20.71 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
