This is a hybrid role in the Irvine, California corporate headquarters, or one of our other locations.
Position Summary
We are looking for an eCommerce Fraud Strategist. The eCommerce Fraud Strategist is recognized as a thought leader in fraud prevention strategy. They are a highly technical strategist who will demonstrate measurable impact by implementing fraud prevention strategies and reducing fraud related loss. This role will work autonomously in a highly complex and technical environment where they exercise latitude in determining objectives and critical assignments. The eCommerce Fraud Strategist be responsible for analyzing actual fraud loss, potential fraud loss, and determining root cause. The eCommerce Fraud Strategist will play a critical role in developing strategic policies and practices to reduce fraud related loss.
Your role:
- Measuring fraud loss
- Recommending preventive measures and putting in place anti-fraud schemes
- Coordinate with other business units to obtain relevant data used to evaluate fraud prevention solutions
- Interviewing individuals to ascertain fraud claims
- Researching evidence and reviewing it for authenticity and accuracy
- Communicating with executive management and others about fraud, countermeasures and measurements of success
- Collating all research data into a detailed report
- Conducting fraud related threat modeling
What you bring to the role:
- Significant experience developing counter fraud strategy and preventing fraud-minimum of 12 years
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated fraud reduction achievements
- Thorough understanding of laws (domestic and international) related to fraud
- Excellent understanding of privacy laws (domestic and international)
- Demonstrated understanding of technologies available to reduce fraud
- Strong understanding of human behavior and performance
- Must be able to understand and manage fraud in diverse, complex environments
- Strong knowledge of cyber risk
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact with clients, upper management, and law enforcement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum, required) in economics, operations, business, finance, IT, data analytics, criminal justice, or related field.
- Desirable certifications include PMP, CAMS, EnCE, MCFE
- Fraud prevention in large e-commerce environment for at least 12 years
- Experience with customer identity solutions
- Experience with technologies available to reduce fraud

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $171,900.00 - $292,200.00 per year.The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
